Cruising Mode — real-time location sharing with a crew during a planned drive. Section 14a covers the disclaimer that this is not a navigation tool and that you are solely responsible for safe, lawful driving. Pro subscription.
Save my route — opt-in per cruise; only your own path is stored under your account and can be deleted at any time.

1. Who We Are

TorQ-Haus ("we", "us", "our") is a performance car build tracking app operated by TorQ-Haus. Contact us at hello@torqhaus.app.

2. Your Account

You must be 13 or older to use TorQ-Haus.
You are responsible for keeping your account secure.
You may only have one account. Do not impersonate others.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Your username can be changed once every 90 days.

3. Your Content

You own your content — your mods, photos, Q&A answers, marketplace listings, and build data. By posting it, you give us a license to display it within the app.

Don't post content that is illegal, harmful, or violates others' rights.
Don't post spam, fake listings, or misleading information.
We may remove content that violates these terms without notice.
You can delete your account and all your data at any time from the Profile screen.

4. Community & Q&A

Q&A is for genuine build questions and answers. No spam or self-promotion.
Asking and answering questions requires a Pro subscription.
Answers should reflect your real experience. Don't give advice you're not qualified to give.
You may attach photos to questions. Photos must be relevant to your build question.
TorQ-Haus is not responsible for the accuracy of Q&A content.

5. Marketplace

TorQ-Haus is a listing platform only. We do not handle payments, shipping, or transactions.
Buyers and sellers transact at their own risk. Always inspect items before paying.
Creating listings requires a Pro subscription.
Listings are active for 30 days and expire automatically.
You may create a listing directly from a Build Log mod. When you do, the listing carries a snapshot of the mod's install date, mileage at install, and (where supplied) part number — these snapshots are stored on the listing and remain visible publicly even if you later edit the source mod.
Sold flow. When you mark a listing sold, any linked Build Log mod enters a 60-hour "Keep / Remove" window. During that window you may either keep the mod in your build log or remove it; after the window passes, the mod is treated as terminal-sold and is excluded from your live build view (it stays in your build timeline as a historical entry).
Do not list stolen parts, illegal modifications, or counterfeit items.
We are not liable for any loss, damage, or fraud arising from marketplace transactions.

5a. Public Build Pages (Share My Build)

Active Pro/Pro+ subscribers can publish a public build profile at torqhaus.app/build/@username.
The page renders your username, display name, profile photo, location city (if you've set one), badges, public car details, modifications, and best performance numbers. None of this is hidden behind authentication once published.
Mods you've marked as terminal-sold are excluded from the public page.
If you set your profile to private (Profile → Edit build profile), the public page returns a "private" message instead of your data.
Cancelling Pro stops you from updating the page from the in-app share button; pages already published remain accessible until you either delete your account or set the profile to private.
By using this feature you grant TorQ-Haus a non-exclusive license to render and serve the listed data publicly via the page above.

5b. Vendor & Third-Party Links

Wishlist items may carry a product/vendor URL you provide. When you tap "View product page" (or the "Open link" pill on a wishlist card), TorQ-Haus opens that URL in your device's browser via the system's external launcher.
We do not endorse, vet, or take responsibility for the content, availability, accuracy, or commercial practices of any external site.
You are responsible for the URLs you save. Don't paste links to malicious, illegal, or deceptive sites.

6. AI-Powered Features

TorQ-Haus uses AI vision technology (via the Anthropic API) to scan performance screenshots and time slips. When you use the verification scan feature:

Your image is sent to Anthropic's API for analysis and immediately discarded — it is not stored by Anthropic for training.
The extracted data (split times, speeds, conditions) is stored in your run record in Firebase.
The original photo is stored in Firebase Storage at a path accessible only to you.
AI extraction is best-effort — always review extracted values before saving.
Verified runs earn a ✓ stamp. TorQ-Haus does not guarantee the accuracy of AI extraction.

7. Performance Verification & Leaderboards

WHP and fastest-time leaderboard entries require verified runs (Dragy screenshot or time slip scan).
Self-reported times do not appear on verified leaderboards.
Do not submit altered, fabricated, or misrepresenting verification photos.
We reserve the right to remove leaderboard entries that appear fraudulent.

8. News Content

The news feed aggregates content from third-party RSS feeds published by automotive media outlets. TorQ-Haus does not own or claim rights to any news content. All articles link to their original source. We are not responsible for the accuracy of third-party news content.

9. Subscriptions

Pro ($2.99/mo or $24.99/yr) and Pro Plus ($6.99/mo or $59.99/yr) are auto-renewing subscriptions.
Subscriptions are managed through Google Play (Android) or the App Store (iOS).
Cancel anytime in your device's subscription settings before the renewal date.
Refunds are handled by Google Play or the App Store per their respective policies.
Features included in each tier are subject to change with reasonable notice.

10. Reporting & Moderation

You can report any post, Q&A question, answer, or listing that violates these terms using the flag/report option in the app.
Reports are reviewed by the TorQ-Haus team. We act on confirmed violations.
False or abusive reports may result in action against the reporting account.

11. Account Suspension

We may suspend or permanently ban accounts that violate these Terms of Use. Violations include but are not limited to:

Harassment, hate speech, or threatening other users
Posting inappropriate, illegal, or harmful content
Submitting fake or manipulated verification photos
Impersonating other users or the TorQ-Haus team
Repeated spam reports or abuse of the report system

Suspended accounts will see a notification in the app explaining the reason. To appeal, email hello@torqhaus.app.

12. Profile Photos

Profile photos you upload are stored securely in Firebase Storage and associated with your account. You can remove your photo at any time from the Profile screen. When you delete your account, your photo is deleted.

13. Push Notifications

We send push notifications for activity relevant to your build — revs, follows, Q&A matches, crew meetups, and more. You can control all notification preferences from Profile → Notification settings. You can also disable notifications entirely from your device settings.

14. Crews & Meetups

Crews are limited to 20 members.
Meetup locations are shared with crew members only.
TorQ-Haus is not responsible for in-person meetup safety. Meet in public places.

14a. Cruising Mode

Cruising Mode is NOT a navigation tool. It is a real-time location-sharing layer for a closed crew during a planned group drive — designed for keeping the convoy together, not for routing your trip.

Use a proper navigation app. TorQ-Haus does not provide turn-by-turn directions, lane guidance, traffic information, road-closure alerts, speed limits, or any other navigation feature. Use Apple Maps, Google Maps, Waze, or another navigation app for your route.
You are responsible for safe driving. You must operate your vehicle safely, lawfully, and in compliance with all applicable traffic laws. The presence of crew members on the convoy map does not authorize convoy driving, lane sharing, or any conduct that would otherwise be unsafe or unlawful.
Display-only while moving. The app blocks most interactions while your phone reports motion above a walking pace. Pull over safely to make changes.
Pro feature. Starting a cruise, saving routes, sharing routes, and the announce-stop and extend controls require a Pro subscription. Joining a cruise as a passenger is included with crew membership.
Mount your phone. Never hold or interact with your phone while operating a vehicle in motion.
Maintenance alert is not an emergency service. The "Report car trouble" button signals your crew through the app. It does not contact emergency services, roadside assistance, or any third party. In an actual emergency, call 911 (or your local emergency number) or your roadside-assistance provider.
Location sharing is consensual and crew-scoped. Live location is visible only to members of your crew during the active cruise. See the Privacy Policy for retention and deletion details.
Route save is opt-in per cruise. If you choose to save your route, only your own path is stored under your account. You can delete a saved route at any time.
TorQ-Haus is not liable for incidents during a cruise. Including without limitation: missed turns, traffic, road closures, weather, vehicle damage, accidents, citations, or any loss of any kind resulting from use of Cruising Mode.

15. Prohibited Conduct

No scraping, reverse engineering, or automated access to the app or API.
No harassment, hate speech, or threatening behavior.
No impersonating other users or the TorQ-Haus team.
No posting content that promotes illegal street racing or dangerous driving.
No using Cruising Mode to organize, coordinate, or participate in street racing, speeding contests, or any other illegal driving activity. Cruises must comply with all applicable traffic laws.
No circumventing subscription gates through technical means.
No submitting fabricated or altered verification photos.

16. Disclaimers

TorQ-Haus is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not responsible for any damage to your vehicle resulting from advice found in the app. Performance modifications carry inherent risk — always consult a qualified professional.

17. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TorQ-Haus is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms. We'll notify you of significant changes via the app. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
